Cryosurgery works by destructively freezing target tissue. The uppermost layer of
skin, together with the diseased tissue, will disappear. It will be replaced by a new
healthy layer of skin in 10 to 14 days. Freezing commences once cryogen is applied
to the skin.
The list below shows examples of the typical lesions that can be treated:
Warts
Seborrheic Keratoses
Achrochordon
Age spots
Small Keloids
Porokeratosis
Angiomas
Keratoacanthoma
Lentigo Discrete

Actinic Keratoses
Molluscum Contagiosum

Lentigo Maligna
Bowen’s Disease

Cryosurgery can produce blisters within a day of treatment, which you should not
lance. Instead, protect it with a covering or bandage. Keep the treated area clean
and do not pick or scratch it. Swimming and bathing are permitted. Some lesions or
warts may require multiple treatments.
